New law goes into effect Jan 17th

CT Others are no longer a thing!

I will update after I get in touch with Special Licensing, but, in short, the ATF has removed the brace loophole in their definition of a rifle. This means in you own a CT Other, you now own a SBR, you need to fill out a Form 1 and you need to pay the feds for the privilege of owning a firearm that you already legally own in the Constitution State.

The state will no longer allow you to transfer your other as well, so you're stuck with it. Put a longer barrel on and you are in violation the Assault Weapon Ban, take the barrel off, you're still in violation as its registered in the state as an Other, don't register it and you're in violation of the Nation Firearms Act of 1934.

And that, my friends, is why I never dealt in the CT Other fad.
